As a Freshman in 2008-09: Travis Hillery played in 22 games while making 11 starts. He averaged 5.1 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game in 15 minutes per game.

Before Mount Ida: Travis Hillery did not play on his high school team but attended Championship Basketball School basketball camp where he was an All-Star and awarded the top defensive player award and the Coach's award. Travis played AAU with the Merrimack Valley Basketball Club coached by John Halloran where he proved to be a solid player.
